I take the view that no problem is too small, no question too silly. I am usually working on Microsoft’s Windows computers and Apple’s iPhones and iPads. I also help some people with their Macs and all varieties of tablets. As smart TVs get smarter, as lighting and heating become internet-enabled, and cars become more connected, I have expanded into these areas of help. Whether it’s Advising, Fixing or Training you require, you can come to me or I can come to you. Covid-19 compliant, I apply hand sanitiser on arrival and observe the current social distancing rules. If social distancing is not possible I will wear a mask. Visits are charged to the nearest quarter hour. Please contact me for my hourly rate. I travel up to about 10 miles from my home in Burgess Hill.
Learning about technology happens incrementally, over time. I like explaining how things work. However, if you just want something ‘put right’, I can do that too.
Thanks to the wonders of technology, the Advising, Fixing and Training can also happen from my house to yours. I can remotely and securely, with your permission, connect to your computer, whilst speaking to you on the phone, WhatsApp or FaceTime Audio. Sessions are charged to the nearest quarter hour. Local clients and also people further afield can benefit from this service.
Tech Pal has been created to help take the stress and worry out of tech! Questions can be emailed, enabling you to ask the little queries, usually getting an answer the same day or the next business day. As ‘a stitch in time saves nine’ when it comes to computing problems, this service is a way to have problems identified sooner (when they are smaller). Tech Pal also includes receiving priority help (at the normal rate), device recycling/data clearance and regular newsletters (full of tips and money-saving ideas). It’s £4 a month per household, or £6 for two households, on standing order; the money-saving benefits more than offset the cost of this service. It does not replace home visits and remote assistance work. It is a great service for anyone, including clients further afield.
